An Amuse Bouche is a course, before the first course. You don’t order this bite sized edible, rather it’s brought to you to set the stage for the meal to come. Attempting to honor 18 Reasons mission to empower and educate people to cook, eat, and understand great food, along with continuing my interest in memory and documentation of personal experience, I wanted to dive into the concept of first tastes with the people ultimately responsible for yours. Informed by conversations with people working within the food systems of the Bay Area, Amuse is a body of printed work about the blur of first tastes and experiences people have on their path to realizing food and beverage is the field they want to be involved with. 
Pieces include screenprint, letterpress, charcoal, watercolor, and image transfer. 19 x 27" 2014. Edition of 4.
